Tasting Note
From the upper, cooler and windier part of the family''s predominantly terraced 12-hectare monopole, Muré''s 2022 Pinot Noir Clos Saint Landelin comes from the plateau and opens with a decisive fresh and coolish limestone bouquet that is fine yet intense and represents perfectly ripe berry and cherry fruit. On the palate, this tense and indeed coolish Pinot Noir is silky, fresh and elegant as well as tart and refreshing, with citrus fruit bitters such as lemon and grapefruit. The tannins are remarkably fine and already interwoven with the refreshing limestone acidity. This is a seriously complex and aristocratic Pinot with an iron hand in a sand glove. The promising finish is long, intense and salty-mineral. 12.5% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine by Stephan Reinhardt in April 2024.
