Egon Muller, Scharzhofberger Spatlese ’Alte Reben’ Auction Wine 2014

The 2014 Scharzhofberger Alte Reben Riesling Spätlese #6 (Versteigerung) is very fine and intense on the nose and offers fine Riesling and botrytis flavors. Highly elegant and piquant on the palate, this is a beautifully concentrated, firmly structured and mouthwateringly salty Spätlese of great elegance, intensity and finesse. Compact and very long, this is a wine that can age for decades. It was auctioned in Trier in September 2014 and fetched 174 Euro plus taxes. Total production: around 500 liters.
