Tasting Note
With a deeper colour this still looks youthful and shows warming, toasty aromas with a hint of red fruit conserve. Rich, smooth and concentrated on the palate (for a 2004). Fleshy, with impeccable balance here between (fine) tannins, fresh acidity, fruit concentration, spice and sweetness of fruit. Complex, long, lovely and a great example. A little light on the finish but a beautiful expression of Clos de La Roche. Drink from 2020 - 2027. Tasted by Andy Howard MW and published by Decanter in November 2019
