Egon Muller, Scharzhofberger Auslese 2025

The 2025er Scharzhofberger Auslese, as it is referred to on the label, is a noble-sweet wine with a yellow-bronze color and a show-stopping nose made of white peach, canned mango, baked pineapple, citrusy elements, flowers, almond paste, some dried fruits, and smoke. The sense of airiness on the palate despite the clear oily structure of a high-end TBA is simply breathtaking. Everything is in balance, the wine sings, it is intense and yet light and feels almost “so easy”. What a stunner! 2035-2055
