Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer, Echezeaux du Dessus Grand Cru 2022

A much more reticent if broad-ranging nose is composed of essence of plum, dark currant, violet, lilac and a hint of exotic tea. There is a beguiling inner mouth perfume to the vibrant, if not especially dense, middleweight flavors that possess a relatively refined mouthfeel thanks to fine-grained tannins supporting the beautifully long and well-balanced finish that is deceptively firm. Lovely. Only 1,800 bottles were produced.
