Rene Mure, Pinot Noir ’V’ 2021

This pinot noir is still very young and a bit tight. However, it already has wonderful rooty and spicy complexity with notes of dried cherries and candied orange peel. Impressive concentration and plenty of fine tannins for the challenging vintage, this has been built to last but it also has enough red berry charm to be drinkable now. Very long precisely contoured finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. Reviewed by James Suckling in May 2023
