Chateau Bellevue La Foret

Philip Grant thought that Fronton is a very traditional and suitable place to establish a vineyard. He believes that excellent soil and sufficient sunshine are the most important elements of the vineyard.

Today the 112 hectares (270 acre) vineyard is the largest single privately owned wine estate in the emerging Southwest of France. The wines are regularly awarded medals in competitions worldwide and have gained a wide array of loyal consumers. The wines are sold in wine shops and restaurants throughout France and are exported to more than twenty countries. The vineyard grows a variety of grapes, such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Black Gamay and the rare Négrette that has the noise of Violet, strawberry and licorice.
