Here too a hint of herbal tea lurks in the background on the fresh and bright aromas of red currant, humus-tinged earth and a hint of game. The succulent, round and delicious middle weight flavors possess evident power that seems to build on the notably more complex finale that is less youthfully austere than usual. Nonetheless, this is clearly built to repay extended bottle aging and like all quality examples of Clos de Vougeot, it''s going to need most of a decade.
