Domaine Monthelie-Douhairet-Porcheret, Musigny Grand Cru 1996 (OWC of 1)

Made by Andre Porcheret, the first winemaker of Domaine Leroy from 1988-1993. This Musigny presents a delicate and deep magenta-purple robe. Its bouquet evokes wild rose and violet under the morning dew, blackcurrant, and raspberry, evolving with age towards leather and fur. Its sapid body perfectly balances the tannins and complexity. Long on the palate, it expresses perfect distinction. Only 70 bottles made.
