Serafin Pere et Fils, Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2023

Fairly deep crimson purple. The oak sits a little on top but there is a wealth of red berry fruit energy. Not massively concentrated but the charm and class of the vineyard do show through properly on the second half. Wood tannins remain to resolve, then all will be good in what should prove a long-lived Charmes-Chambertin. Drink from 2033-2043. Tasted Nov 2024.
