Kistler is established in 1978, it is a family managed vineyard based in the Russian River Valley. The vineyard is famous for producing high quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which others in the industry are eager to purchase their grapes. Current annual production is around 25,000 cases.


Chardonnay produced by Kistler Vineyards has distinctive character; strict selection of grapes before fermentation in oak barrels, then aged in French oak barrels for 11 – 18 months, the process does not involve any racking to minimize any human interference to the wine, lastly the wine is bottled without filtration. The Chardonnay of this American Winery reminiscent those of Doamine Leflaive or Domainee de la Romanee Conti from Burgundy, it is really powerful and only a fifth of the price of those famous Burgundy wines.
