Chateau Larrivet Haut-Brion

Château Larrivet Haut-Brion is a Pessac-Leognan estate dedicated to the production of red and white wines on the 72 hectares of the property acquired by the Gervoson family in 1987.

Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon dominate the red blend (55% and 40%), whereas Sauvignon represents 60% and Semillon 40% in the white wine.

Here, unlike most estates, all the plots are treated the same way: the reds are matured 16-18 months in French oak barriques (50% new) and the whites (60% Semillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc) 12 months in 100% new oak. The selection between the first and second label is made at the end of the maturing focusing on the roundness and fruity expression. Winemaker Bruno Lemoine and consulting oenologist Michel Rolland work together to produce a range of hedonistic, flavorful wines with rich textures and complex aromatic profiles.
