Picked with 50% botrytis and 145° Oechsle in the Kribslay and Hödlay plots of the cru, the 2019 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese (Long Gold Capsule) offers a clear, delicately spicy, slatey and very detailed bouquet of fine raisins with beautiful lemon notes that represent perfect botrytis. On the palate, this is a highly delicate, weightless and remarkably fresh (lemon-fresh) Auslese whose sweetness is nothing but piquant and even salty on the crystalline finish. This is a great Auslese bottled with 7.5% alcohol. Tasted from AP 13 20 in May 2020.
