Champagne Savart, L’Expression 2010 1er Cru (Only 550 Bottles Made)

100% Pinot Noir. Light yellow-gold. Powerful, oak-spiced orchard and pit fruit scents are lifted by a sexy floral nuance and pick up a buttery element with air. Palate-staining white peach and pear flavors are complicated by suggestion of Meyer lemon and toasted brioche. The smoky note lingers on the focused, tenacious finish. Tasted by Vinous in Dec 2014
