Moderate wood influence is again present on the slightly cooler and more elegant nose of red currant, dark cherry and a hint of smoked game quality. The sleek and intense larger-bodied flavors also flash good power and a subtle bead of minerality on the dusty, youthfully austere and balanced finale even though there is a barely discernible hint of warmth that slowly emerges. This is quite compact and will need at least a few years of patience and should ultimately reward a decade plus of aging.
