Marino Colleoni''s vineyards are amongst the highest in Montalcino, 500 meters above sea level, planted over a combination of sand, limestone and volcanic rock. The fruit for Marino’s Riserva comes from a very strict selection made in the vineyard. Here the grapes were destemmed and macerated for a month before five years of rest in bottles. Marino has navigated this uncommonly warm, dry vintage wonderfully, producing a deep, soulful wine of breathtaking power and poise that will reward drinkers for many years to come. Only 4,200 bottles made in vintage 2018.
