Diamond Creek, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow 2021

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow includes 16% Merlot and 8% Malbec. It''s a red-fruited effort, with bright cherries complemented by some herbal notes. In the mouth, the wine is medium to full-bodied, silky textured and elegant, with hints of toasty oak and red berries lingering on the finish. Not particularly tannic, it should be approachable within a few years and drink well for at least 10 to 15 years after that. At just 267 cases produced, it''s the smallest production of the three single-vineyard wines this year. Drink from 2027-2040. Reviewed by The Wine Advocate in Oct 2024
