Domaine Castagnier, Chambolle Musigny 2022

The Chambolle-Musigny is one single parcel in Aux Echanges, just outside the village. Aux Echanges is split in two, with one part in village appellation, where you’ll find the parcel of Domaine Jérôme Castagnier, and one part in premier cru. Aux Echanges is an interesting parcel, says Jérôme Castagnier. It’s surrounded by premier crus. It’s clay, but with a bit of limestone. So you have some minerality the wine.

A bright medium deep purple. The fruit is ripe but clean and pure. Lots of energy here, bright zesty fruit, with the ideal thread of mineral acidity providing a back drop to some delicious clean pure fruit. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted: December 2023.
