Chateau La Lauzette

The vineyards are planted with a typical Médoc blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (32%) which suits perfectly the two types of terroir of the property, mostly gravel and clay-calcareous soil. The wines of Château La Lauzette are matured 18 months in French oak barrels (30% new). The wine exhibits aromas and flavors prune, blackberry and licorice and a solid core of ripe, firm tannins. Winemakers Liz and Frans Roskam aim at displaying the depth and complexity of a Cru Bourgeois with the signature of the Listrac-Médoc terroir.
